Some people get confused and believe that "Specimen Handling and Transportation" is a third certificate in the bundle, however, it is just the title of the bundle that describes the contents of the two courses. You will receive a certificate for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control and another for HIPAA.
There is no such thing as an "accredited medical courier." Our Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control and HIPAA courses are designed to meet federal compliance standards, including OSHA (CFR 1910.1030) and OCR requirements. These standards apply nationwide. Our learning platform does not allow you to be certified more than once for the same class. Each year we publish an updated course so if you have previously completed a course that offers certification, you will need to take the "renew" or "recertification" course the following year. If you did not work as a medical courier throughout the year and need to start fresh, give us a call so we can delete your account, and you can start fresh. (719-502-7081). P.S. Renew is the same thing as recertification!
The very first thing you will read in the course is how to ensure the certificate is in your name, and not someone elses. Your account profile must be set up in the name of the student taking the class. If you used someone else's card to pay, please click on the “Details” tab in your profile to be sure the name is the student who is taking the class. Do this prior to completing any classes! Failure to do so will result in the Certificate being in the cardholders name!
Certification is not granted until the Training Program has been satisfactorily completed and paid in full. Certification expires one-year after satisfactory completion of the paid in full Training Program. PAYMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND REFUND POLICY: Use of a credit card not in your name verifies you have received permission to use the card from the cardholder. Using a card without permission will void certification and result in criminal charges being filed against you for Identity Theft (a felony) upon receipt of a complaint by the cardholder or financial institution if you do not correct the error within 14 business day. Additionally, all of your personal information will be turned over to the authorities at the banking institution and in the criminal report. If you do not agree, do not proceed with training! REFUNDS: Call us for a partial refund (95% refund if less than 20% has been completed). Once you have completed more than 20% of the training, no refunds will be provided.
This bundle includes courses that are offered separately (not in the bundle) for various reasons. A driver only delivering pharmaceuticals and not any lab work or instruments/equipment that may expose them to bloodborne pathogens can just take HIPAA alone. A driver who does not ever handle anything with private patient information on or in it, including having contact with patients in a healthcare setting, may not need HIPAA compliance. No matter what you select initially, the healthcare facility will drive your requirement, and you may end up paying for something you thought you might not need, later.
Those prices are what the classes cost if you were to take the course separately. You do not need to pay for them separately in addition to the bundle! In fact, please don't!
